Terms

Last updated 12 September 2026

Hour 0 is in early access, run by one person. These terms are written to be read rather than skipped, and the two that actually matter — no uptime guarantee, and your employer's rules are yours to check — are stated plainly below.

What Hour 0 is

Hour 0 is a working memory for business analysts. It reads documents you give it, follows meetings, and answers questions from that record with citations. It is a tool that helps you do your work. It is not a consultancy, not legal or professional advice, and not a substitute for your own judgement.

Your account

You need an account to use Hour 0. Use a real email address you control, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at team@hour-0.com if you think someone else has got into it. An account is for one person; it is not a shared team login.

What it costs

A solo subscription is €29 per month after the 14-day trial below, one plan, everything included. No per-seat tiers and no sales call.

You can cancel whenever you like. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for. Prices may change while Hour 0 is in early access, but not without telling you first.

The 14-day trial

A new account gets 14 days from the day it is created. No card is taken, there is nothing to cancel, and nothing is charged when it ends.

When the trial ends Hour 0 becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted: every project, document, transcript, note, reminder and generated artefact stays exactly where it is, readable and exportable.

What read-only means precisely — these pause:

  • Generating a BRD, a slide deck, a story set or a diagram.
  • Asking the assistant a question, and preparing for a meeting.
  • Uploading a document.
  • Recording or saving a whisper session.
  • The morning digest, which stops being written.

And these keep working:

  • Reading every project and everything in it.
  • Exporting what you already generated — Word, PowerPoint, CSV, SVG, PNG and draw.io.
  • Editing notes and reminders, and deleting anything you want gone.
  • Your account, your settings, and deleting the account entirely.

During the trial, generating a BRD, deck, story set or diagram is limited to five a day, and asking the assistant to thirty a day. Each one costs a model call, and the limits are what keep a throwaway signup from running up that bill. Both count over a rolling 24 hours, so they free up as the oldest one ages out, and subscribing lifts them.

Early access, and what that means

Hour 0 is being built and improved continuously. Being early has real consequences and it would be dishonest to bury them:

There is no uptime guarantee. No service level agreement, no promised availability, no support response time. Hour 0 may be unavailable for maintenance, for a failed deploy, or because something broke.

  • Features may change, move or be withdrawn as the product finds its shape.
  • Data may need to be migrated between systems as the infrastructure changes.
  • Do not rely on Hour 0 as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Export what matters — every generated document can be exported to Word.

Your documents and your employer

Most of what a business analyst works with belongs to somebody else: your employer, your client, or a third party who shared it under an agreement you did not personally sign.

You are responsible for confirming that your employer permits uploading company documents to Hour 0. That check is yours to make, before you upload, not ours.

Document text is sent to an AI model to answer your questions, so treat Hour 0 the way you would treat any other external tool and confirm your policy before uploading anything sensitive.

By uploading something, you confirm you have the right to, and that doing so does not breach a confidentiality agreement, a client contract, or your organisation’s internal policy. If you are not sure, ask the person who would know before you upload. The privacy page sets out exactly where the data goes, which is usually what that person will want to see.

Your content stays yours

You own what you put into Hour 0 and what Hour 0 produces from it. Nothing here transfers ownership. Hour 0 stores and processes your content only to run the service for you — to index it, answer your questions, and generate the documents you ask for. It is not used to train AI models, and it is not sold or shared for anyone else’s purposes.

What Hour 0 produces

Hour 0 is designed to say when it does not know, and to cite the document or meeting behind every factual claim. That is a real safeguard and it is the point of the product. It is not a guarantee of correctness.

A BRD Hour 0 drafts is a draft. Before it goes to a stakeholder, to a developer or into a contract, you are the one who reviews it. Check the citations against the sources. That is what they are for.

Acceptable use

Do not use Hour 0 to:

  • Upload content you have no right to upload.
  • Break the law, or help someone else do so.
  • Attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service, or try to reach another user's data.
  • Resell access, or run it as a service on someone else's behalf without agreeing that first.

An account being used this way can be suspended, and if it is serious, closed.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription, or ask for the account to be deleted and everything in it goes, as described on the privacy page. Hour 0 can close an account for a serious breach of these terms, or if the product itself is discontinued — in which case you get notice and time to export your work.

Liability

Hour 0 is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not allow to be excluded. To the extent the law permits, Hour 0 is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost business, or a decision made on the strength of an unreviewed output — and total liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes to these terms

These terms will change as Hour 0 grows up. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your account, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continuing to use Hour 0 after a change means you accept it.
